Westport Properties’ US Storage Centers platform brings its institutional management scale to the Inland Empire’s newest Class A storage address

NEWPORT BEACH, CA, UNITED STATES, September 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Westport Properties (“WPI”), the vertically integrated owner-operator managing more than 15.4 million square feet of self storage across the United States, announced today that its US Storage Centers brand will serve as the management partner for a newly delivered, four-story Class A self storage facility. The property, developed and owned by Buchanan Street Partners, is located at 1382 East Foothill Blvd in Upland, California, along historic Route 66 in one of the Inland Empire’s most trafficked retail corridors.

This new Foothill Boulevard location contributes nearly 123,000 rentable square feet and over 1,100 units to Westport’s managed portfolio, deepening the firm’s operational presence in the Inland Empire. US Storage Centers now operates two properties in Upland with an aggregate footprint of approximately 176,000 rentable square feet and nearly 1,700 units, giving the brand meaningful density in a market that has seen limited new institutional-quality supply.

"We are excited to deepen our roots in the Inland Empire with this new development. This opening reflects a broader trajectory for Westport. We are growing our management platform deliberately, selecting partners and assets where our scale and operational depth create meaningful value. With over 220 properties nationally, the Inland Empire is a market where we intend to grow our presence further.” — Ramiro Ochoa, Vice President, Westport Properties

This multi-story facility offers climate-controlled and drive-up storage units serving both individual and business customers across Upland, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, and the broader Inland Empire. The property replaces a long-vacant medical office building and represents one of the only new climate-controlled self storage deliveries within this trade area. US Storage Centers will bring its institutional operating platform to the asset, including proprietary revenue management systems, elevated customer experience protocols, and WPI’s institutional reporting infrastructure.
