CHATTANOOGA, TN, UNITED STATES, September 2, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Board Connector Transitions to Nonprofit Resource Center to Expand Chattanooga's Civic Leadership Pipeline

Civic leadership platform founded in 2017 moves to the Nonprofit Resource Center, ensuring its mission continues to grow.

CHATTANOOGA, TN -- Wade Hinton, CEO of Hinton and Company and the Nonprofit Resource Center today announced the transition of Board Connector, a civic leadership platform Hinton founded personally in 2017, to the Nonprofit Resource Center.

Board Connector was founded with a simple premise: Chattanooga had civic talent sitting on the sidelines. High-achieving professionals wanted to give back but had no clear pathway in. Nonprofits wanted diverse perspectives at their governance tables but lacked reach beyond their existing networks.
Board Connector was built to close that gap.

Over the years, the platform facilitated direct board placements and sparked a broader civic shift, inspiring many more individuals to seek board service even outside the platform itself. Participants have gone on to chair boards, lead governance committees, and become some of the most in-demand civic leaders in the region.

The Nonprofit Resource Center is the right home for this work. With deep roots in Chattanooga's nonprofit ecosystem and an established infrastructure for governance support, they are positioned to take Board Connector further than ever.

To ensure a smooth transition, Hinton and the Nonprofit Resource Center partnered with RadWork to manage the technical and operational handoff of the platform.

"Board service is one of the most powerful ways professionals can put their skills to work for the community. I started Board Connector because I believed Chattanooga had untapped civic talent -- people who were ready to lead and just needed the door opened.

"Watching what has happened since, seeing people step into these roles and grow as leaders, has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career. Handing this work to Phil and the Nonprofit Resource Center feels right. They have the relationships, the infrastructure, and the heart to take it further." -- Wade Hinton, Esq.

"Board Connector has done something important for this community. It made board service more visible and more accessible. It helped nonprofits think more intentionally about who sits at their governance tables and is an essential component of our board training classes that are developing the next generation of nonprofit board leadership. We are honored to carry this work forward." -- Phil Trammell, Executive Director, Nonprofit Resource Center

Benwood Foundation, Lyndhurst Foundation, and the Community Foundation have supported Board Connector since its founding, helping establish it as a credible and lasting resource for Chattanooga's civic infrastructure.

"Benwood has long believed that strong nonprofit boards are essential to a thriving community. Board Connector aligned with that belief from day one. We are proud to have supported it, and we are excited about what comes next under the Nonprofit Resource Center." – Dr. Keri Randolph, President, Benwood Foundation
