Buxton continues to invest in its nearshore operations through a 2nd Salesforce student program at the UABC Ensenada campus

SAN RAMON, CA, UNITED STATES, August 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Buxton Consulting announced that registration is open for its Fall 2026 student program with Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC), continuing an initiative focused on developing practical Salesforce-related technology skills and strengthening the talent connection between Southern California and Baja California.

The Fall 2026 program builds on Buxton's Spring 2026 pilot, in which the first UABC computer science student was selected to participate in “Proyecto de Desarrollo en la Nube y CRM Salesforce,” gaining hands-on experience in Salesforce development and administration while working alongside Buxton's technical team. The pilot provided practical exposure to real-world challenges and mentor-led learning. The student program graduate is now moving into Buxton’s Salesforce managed service practice.

"Our spring student worked directly with our technical team and gained practical experience in Salesforce technologies and processes, including Flow, Apex, Triggers, REST APIs, LWC, testing, and deployment," said Chandra Reddy, Buxton Consulting co-founder & CTO. "The Fall program allows us to build on that experience, give more students exposure to real project work, and continue developing technology talent in Baja California."

For California companies and organizations, access to talent in their same time zone, as well as the ease of travel for periodic in-person collaboration is very attractive. Leading companies such as Softek and, more recently, ITJuana have continued to improve the nearshore model. Buxton has taken a lot from those organizations' success with, for example, full-stack engineers in Mexico and is focusing more on packaged applications, as well as smaller cities and regional universities, starting with UABC Ensenada.

The UABC program also supports Buxton's broader U.S.-India-Mexico delivery model, combining client-facing capabilities in the United States with technology resources across Mexico and India. The company's large client portfolio in Silicon Valley, as well as growing presence in San Diego positions the CaliBaja region as an important part of Buxton’s growth and approach to delivering follow-the-sun, scalable IT services.

Students interested in joining the Fall 2026 cohort can register through August 31, 2026.
