IronCrest Ribbon Cutting Event

OCALA, FL, UNITED STATES, September 12, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- IronCrest celebrated a new chapter of its residential development with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at The Club at Iron Lake, bringing together the Ocala Metro Chamber & Economic Partnership, project partners, homebuilders and community leaders to recognize the continued progress of the new private club community in Ocala. The event follows the recording of the IronCrest Phase One final plat with Marion County earlier this summer, paving the way for its developer, Altamira Development Company, to move forward with the first residential offerings on the property.

At the reception following the ribbon-cutting, it was revealed that seven homebuilder partners are committed to launching residential housing options at IronCrest, including ICI Homes, Davila Homes, Brije Homes, J. Drewes, Stentiford Construction, H & W Construction and Center State Construction.

“This event showcases how much progress has been made in bringing the IronCrest community to life,” said Craig Phillips, principal of Altamira Development Company. “We are very pleased to see the residential program launching and value the relationship we have developed with this diverse, highly talented group of homebuilders.”

First Groundbreaking

Brije Homes, a custom builder based in Ocala, will be the first to break ground on a home at IronCrest after becoming the first builder to close on the acquisition of a lot last month. Its design and construction teams work seamlessly with their clients throughout the homebuilding process. Brije was recognized as the 2025 Marion County Builder of the Year and received 2025 Parade of Homes honors for People’s Choice, Best Overall Home, Best Kitchen and Best Bathroom. Its experience in the region also gives the company familiarity with the land, golf and equestrian influences that shape the Ocala market.

New Entrants to Marion County

Three of the homebuilders that will build at scale on the property are ICI Homes, Davila Homes and J. Drewes, each making a debut in luxury residential construction in Marion County following great success in other communities across Florida.

ICI Homes, founded 45 years ago by its Chairman and CEO Mori Hosseini and based in Daytona Beach, is the largest privately owned homebuilder in Florida. Last year, ICI delivered over 600 homes across multiple communities throughout Florida, including Gainesville, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville and the Daytona Beach area.

Davila Homes, founded in 2010 by T. J. Davila and based in Orlando, approaches custom residential construction with a strong appreciation of craftsmanship and personalization. It is one of the largest custom homebuilders at Bella Collina, a luxury golf community in Montverde, Florida, about 30 minutes west of Orlando.

J. Drewes, also based in Orlando, has extensive experience in the high-end custom residential market, having completed more than 75 luxury residences under the leadership of its co-founders Jason and Megan Drewes. The company, backed by a third-generation building legacy, takes a highly personalized approach to design and construction.
