Dr. Maliha joins Chief Medical Officer Justin Perez, MD, and Osita Obi, MD, as the third current Marina Plastic Surgery doctor to complete advanced training through The Aesthetic Fellowship of Los Angeles, founded by Dr. Grant Stevens, MD, FACS. Dr. Perez sees patients in Brentwood and Pasadena, Dr. Obi is based in Pasadena, and Dr. Maliha is based in Brentwood.

Dr. Maliha Joins Marina Plastic Surgery in Brentwood

Dr. Maliha brings advanced training in both aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery to the Brentwood office. She focuses on facial rejuvenation, eyelid surgery, breast surgery, and body contouring. Paying close attention to detail, anatomy, scar placement, tissue quality, symmetry, healing, and how results last over time all play a role in her surgical planning.

Before completing the Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship of Los Angeles, Dr. Maliha trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery at UPMC, one of the top plastic surgery training programs in the country. During her residency, she gained experience in craniofacial surgery, microsurgery, hand surgery, breast surgery, reconstruction, and cosmetic surgery.

Her academic background includes an Ivy League education at the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated summa cum laude with highest honors. She then completed a dual-degree program at New York University School of Medicine, earning both her medical degree and a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation simultaneously.

Dr. Maliha also has a strong academic background. She has written nearly 30 peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters, presented her research at national and international meetings, and served as an Administrative Chief Resident. Earlier in her training, her research on cranial suture biology earned her the Paul Black Junior Investigator Award from the American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association.

Her academic experience shapes her careful approach to consultations. She considers what the tissue can support, how incisions will heal, and whether a more conservative or staged plan might give better results.
