Founded in 1993, Syntech Metals has grown over three decades into what the company describes as a vertically integrated aluminum extrusion and machining supplier, operating from a 100,000-square-meter facility equipped with 17 extrusion presses ranging from 500 to 10,000 tons. The company says it has shipped more than 3 million aluminum extrusion and CNC-machined components to customers in over 70 countries, with Australia and Germany among its longer-standing export markets alongside North America and South Africa.
A central piece of the company's pitch to buyers is that it casts its own extrusion billet rather than purchasing it from third-party suppliers. Syntech Metals operates large in-house melting and casting furnaces, buying aluminum ingot directly and casting its own billet for extrusion in AL6061 and AL6063 alloys, with aging treatments calibrated to meet T4, T5 or T6 hardness requirements. The company argues that controlling the process from ingot to finished part — rather than relying on outside billet suppliers — reduces the risk of substandard raw material entering the supply chain, a concern manufacturers in import markets have raised amid inconsistent billet quality from smaller suppliers. The company also offers CNC machining of aluminum plate stock in the same AL6061 and AL6063 alloys for parts that start from flat plate rather than extruded profile.
"When a customer places an order, they are trusting that every kilogram of aluminum in that part meets the alloy and temper specification on the drawing," said Ken Yip, Sales Director at Syntech Metals. "Casting our own billet means we're not exposed to the variability that comes from buying extrusion bar on the open market. We control the metallurgy from the furnace forward."
The company pointed to recent project work in both target markets as evidence of its manufacturing range. In Australia, Syntech Metals has supplied large-scale aluminum structural components for stage and event infrastructure, alongside custom CNC-machined aluminum plate parts for industrial customers. In Germany, the company said it has produced high-precision aluminum spline shafts for machinery applications and automotive aluminum parts, including bumper and crash-bar components, for customers in the country's manufacturing sector.
On surface finishing, Syntech Metals operates imported, fully automated anodizing and powder-coating lines, offering both standard and hard anodizing alongside powder coating. The company holds ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 quality-management certifications, along with Qualicoat certification for powder coating and QUALANOD certification for anodizing — credentials the company says are held by only a small number of anodizing operations in mainland China. Together, the certifications are intended to give overseas buyers, particularly in quality-sensitive automotive and industrial-equipment segments, an independent basis for evaluating finishing consistency before placing an order.
Syntech Metals said the emphasis on traceable materials and third-party-certified finishing is aimed at addressing a common hesitation among buyers sourcing deep-processed aluminum parts from overseas suppliers: uncertainty over whether the metal and coating actually delivered will match what was quoted. By keeping billet casting, extrusion, CNC machining and surface finishing under one roof, the company said it can hold tighter tolerances across the production chain and respond more quickly to engineering changes than manufacturers that outsource one or more of those steps.
The company said it plans to continue building relationships with distributors, fabricators and OEMs in Australia and Germany as demand grows for aluminum structural and precision-machined components in construction, industrial equipment and automotive applications in both markets.
