OXFORD, OXFORDSHIRE, UNITED KINGDOM, August 10, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Thruvision Group plc (AIM: THRU), a leading provider of walk-through security technology ("Thruvision" or the "Company" and, together with its subsidiary undertakings, the "Group"), is pleased to announce that its principal regional partner in Asia has been awarded a contract to deploy Thruvision's technology across multiple major airports in South-East Asia. The deployment, focused predominantly on airport worker screening and insider-threat mitigation, is expected to generate more than £3 million of revenue for Thruvision.

Highlights

• The award is expected to generate more than £3 million of revenue for Thruvision and relates to multiple Thruvision high-throughput people-screening systems
• Deployment across multiple major airports in South-East Asia to strengthen aviation worker screening and insider-threat detection
• Builds on the successful deployment of multiple WalkTHRU lanes at a major cultural event in South-East Asia last year, demonstrating the effectiveness of Thruvision's regional partner strategy
• Represents Thruvision's third contract worth more than £1 million in Asia within the past 14 months
• Delivery is expected during the second half of the financial year ending 31 March 2027
• This represents Thruvision's largest deployment in Asia to date

The systems will be deployed across several major airports in South-East Asia, where they will screen aviation workers while maintaining throughput and minimising operational disruption. The deployment supports airport operators' increasing focus on mitigating insider-threat risks alongside traditional passenger screening.

The award represents a significant milestone in Thruvision's expansion across Asia and further validates the Company's strategy of working with trusted regional partners to capture large-scale security opportunities. It is the third contract in Asia worth more than £1 million secured within the last 14 months, providing further evidence of growing regional demand for Thruvision's technology.

Insider-threat mitigation is becoming an increasingly important priority for security operators globally, with applications extending beyond aviation into events, prisons, logistics facilities, warehouses and other critical infrastructure. Thruvision's technology is well positioned to address these expanding markets.

Commenting on the announcement, Victoria Balchin, CEO of Thruvision, said:

“This award, which is our largest contract award in Asia to date, represents another significant win for Thruvision and demonstrates the further success of our strategy there. As our second major regional order this calendar year and our third contract worth more than £1 million in Asia within 14 months, it provides further validation of both our technology and our partner-led route to market."

“The aviation sector increasingly recognises that security extends well beyond passenger screening, with insider threat becoming a major operational priority worldwide. Working alongside experienced regional partners allows us to address these evolving security challenges at scale, and we believe this award further strengthens our position for future growth across Asia and other international markets.”
