Water On Demand™ has received a counsel memorandum on Texas commercial lending and is forming its own lending subsidiary to originate water-project financing.
We wanted to know how we could proceed before we even contemplated the next step. It is that discipline that allows us to build this entity with precision and care.”
CLEARWATER, FL, UNITED STATES, August 25, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Water On Demand, Inc. today said it is moving to form Water On Demand Capital Finance, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary whose purpose is to originate commercial-purpose loans in support of water infrastructure initiatives. Formation of the subsidiary is underway.— Cory Mertes, Chief Financial Officer of Water On Demand.
Water projects are typically financed by outside lenders. The new entity is how Water On Demand intends to originate that financing itself, in its own name. The company is building toward providing every stage in the stack of water-treatment-system financing and implementation. That is how water starts to take shape as an asset class, the way real estate and energy did.
Water On Demand engaged legal counsel and received a memorandum indicating how the company can proceed under Texas commercial-lending requirements. The company intends to retain that counsel to prepare the loan origination documentation for the new subsidiary.
"Arranging someone else's financing and writing our own paper are two entirely different value propositions. One is a service business. The other is a balance sheet. With this in hand we are setting out to build the second one, and to build something we have not seen anyone else do in water," said Ken Berenger, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Water On Demand.
"We wanted to know how we could proceed before we even contemplated the next step. It is that discipline that allows us to build this entity with precision and care," said Cory Mertes, Chief Financial Officer of Water On Demand.
