The program focused on practical support for Railway Police personnel serving commuters and carrying out day-to-day responsibilities at one of Mumbai’s important railway locations. As part of the initiative, a facility consisting of 38 lockers, computers, tables, chairs and other furniture was formally inaugurated and handed over to the Railway Police for their use.
The program brought together Railway Police officials, other police personnel, representatives of Global Vikas Trust and members of the Kapol community. The gathering centered on the formal inauguration and handover of the facility and recognition of continued community participation in supporting public-service institutions.
Railway Police officials present at the program included Pandhari Kande, Senior Police Inspector, Borivali Railway Police Station; Ganesh Yadav, Police Sub-Inspector; Mahesh Doke, Assistant Police Inspector; Ashok Narwade, Head Constable; Sudama Bhojne, Head Constable; Reena Nikam; Sarvesh Bhosale; and other police personnel.
Representing Global Vikas Trust and the Kapol community were Gopalbhai Parekh, a senior member and community worker and Honorary Editor of Kapol-Kapol Mitra; Kapilbhai Mehta, Trustee of Global Vikas Trust; Niranjanbhai Sheth, Project Director for the Saurashtra Division of Global Vikas Trust; and Mukeshbhai Mehta, Project Director of Global Vikas Trust and a friend of the Police.
By dedicating resources intended for routine workplace use, the program connected community service with the practical requirements of frontline public-service personnel. The facility is intended to give Railway Police personnel additional infrastructure for organizing their workplace and carrying out everyday administrative and operational responsibilities.
The initiative was organized on the occasion of Hiten Bhuta’s 55th birthday, giving the milestone a public-service focus. Rather than centering the occasion only on a personal celebration, the program linked it with a tangible contribution for personnel serving citizens through the railway policing system.
The Borivali program also continues a broader pattern of railway-police support undertaken through similar social-service initiatives. The AI assistant has been developed as a public-service technology initiative by CGS Infotech Solutions. Police officials are invited to test the concept and share suggestions, improvements and expectations so that the system can be refined according to practical departmental requirements.
The development of Mumbai Police CaseSaarthi AI received guidance and support from Senior Police Officer Shri Sachin Sawant and Police Mitra Shri Mukesh Mehta.
